About us

In 2011, I fell in love with beer.   Not your typical lite beers, but full flavor and exotic beers.   Thanks to several good friends, the road to craft beer discovery began.

Since then, my love for beer has spilled over into hobbies and special occasions.   I started home brewing in 2013 and have since found a love in the process and science behind beer making.  So much so, for my daughter's first birthday, I built an outdoor bar and made 3 beers that were then place on tap for the party.   Not your typical party for a one-year-old.   Let's just say no one left after an hour or four.  I love what this hobby has brought to my life and what I have learned in the process.

 

 

 

 

 

 

How it all Started:

My wife had a great idea to build an advent calendar that she could then fill with beer for me during December.   I was stunned and excited.  Then I found out that "she would build" was code for "I would build."  So the planning commenced, only to find out later that she also wanted one for my family, her family, friends, and co-workers.  This was when I decided that I needed to do more research as I didn't have that much time to build all of those. What I found was that there are many DIY solutions but no products that allowed you to fill an advent calendar with items you wanted in them.  I wanted an advent calendar that my wife could fill with beer for me, but also one that I could fill will fun toys for my daughters.  So after many hours, some sly comments from a "box engineer," and a few refreshments, Craft Advent Box was born.  

Who We Are:

We are dedicated to supporting our local markets and small businesses. With this in mind, we found a great company to manufacture the cardboard box and found a local SCAD grad to design the artwork.  

We focused on family-friendly designs and family safety by building a quality box that is stronger than required while not advertising alcohol in the design.

We hope that this year's Craft Advent Calendar will be a gift that your family and friends will love and the start of a tradition that will continue for many years.
